Notice Deadline Calculator
Pick your state, enter your project dates, and we'll show you every preliminary notice and mechanics-lien deadline that applies — with statute references and optional reminders.
First time you delivered labor, materials, or equipment.
Used for end-of-project deadlines (lien, claim of lien, etc.).
How accurate are these deadline calculations?
We pull the day counts from each state's mechanics-lien statute and apply the most common anchor (first or last furnishing). For complex projects with multiple furnishing dates, public works, or residential exemptions, the deadline can shift — always confirm with a construction attorney before relying on a single calculation.
What is "first day on the job"?
Your first furnishing date — the first day you delivered labor, materials, or equipment to the project. Most state preliminary-notice deadlines are anchored to this date.
When do I use the "last day" field?
Some states (NY, FL claim-of-lien, CA mechanic's lien, GA, etc.) anchor deadlines to your last day of furnishing or to project completion. Fill it in if you know it; we'll compute those deadlines too.
Will you spam me?
No. The calculator works fully without an email. If you opt in for reminders, we send you exactly two emails per deadline — one 7 days before, one the day of — and a single welcome email summarizing what you saw on this page.
